Did you know they truncate the user folder name to 5-6 characters, so it looks stupid as hell when you first install the O.S. I have Firefox & Chrome installed on my laptop, and I can't tell you at the moment what I was doing that opens Edge. Oh, and certain Microsoft things refuse to use my default browser and open Microsoft Edge. except to get it up and running ready to go when I leave I wouldn't play that game from my laptop. The next instalment of the famous Panzer General series got a new game system, totally redesigned interface and fresh 3D graphics. That's why I can't use a direct-connect from my laptop to my desktop through my modem. I want to be able to play it when I'm not anywhere near my desktop.
Some of the registry entries are hairy AF! I already have the patched-version on OneDrive, including the Patch folder itself. The name of the game is in the subject, SSI doesn't exist anymore, therefore no way to contact developers to see if there's a way to get this thing to run.
I found the registry entries in Windows 7, but none have the code I used to Can't Get Panzer General 3D to Run on Windows 10 There was a similar question, but that thread is locked.
Anybody got one? Not even the CD-cover or manual has the code on them.
I need to try again with a code (or cracked version?), installed onto the laptop from the mounted drive. I run it as administrator and select to run it in Windows 7 compatibility mode. The game looks like it's going to start, then just returns to the desktop with no errors displayed. I uninstalled the unregistered game from my laptop before trying to run it from OneDrive.Įither way, it won't run on Windows 10 64-bit. Installed with an ISO mounted drive on the laptop, and completely installed into a folder on OneDrive from Office 365 of my Windows 7 machine.
Will that be a problem for Windows 10 as well? The laptop's video driver is an Intel HD Graphics 620. Perhaps I still had the box and misplaced it in the last 4 years. I installed PG3D on this Windows 7 64-bit machine in 2015, but was able to get it from SSI (they were still on the internet). I no longer have the box, or can't find it. I need the registration code for the game. Can't get around Edge ? You don't need to use Edge, or IE11 (or whichever version is going atm). They have gone the full Dictator with that. Since experimenting with the MS Store and installing the Forza demo I also avoid getting any games from the MS Store. (and adding it to Win7 via Windows Update) ? I expect you are already aware of MS introducing DRM Blocking with Win10 I agree about Win10 having a Big Brother issue. If that doesn't work you may find something in Registry that you can import to your Win10 Registry that will get it running. Games of this vintage that have been installedįrom the disc on another machine will often run if simply copied and pasted from the other machine using a simple noCD fix to If you have access to Win7 there should be no need to use a mount a cracked ISO file. Assuming the crack has also been tested on Win7 64bit to verify it is working. I can't find any data regarding the DRM for this particular game, but if you have resorted to a cracked version DRM shouldn't beĪ problem. Go figure.Īnother, from around 2004 started crashing using Nvidia with the noCD fix on Win10, but runs well if I use the disc. Two from 2000\2002 required Win95\98 with earlier Win10,īut they don't need any Compatibility now. I have a number of games that required a new tweak of some sort on Win10. I have only about three games that ran on Win7 64bit that don't run on Win10, but that is mostly an Nvidia thing. After the release of this game, the rights were sold to Ubisoft, which abandoned the series. The game is in the era that becomes more problematic, but if it was running on Win7Ħ4bit, it is very likely also be compatible with Panzer General III: Scorched Earth is the last game in the Panzer General series.
Each leader specializes in a particular equipment class. The player begins the game with a pool of leaders that grows as the game progresses. Due to the success of Panzer General 3D, it kept the same leader management system. The game features four campaigns for German and Russian forces from Moscow to Berlin. 3 German campaigns and 5 Allied, playing with the nations of Britain, France and America against the Germans. The game features 8 new campaigns based on the western front. It is still turned based and has a similar game play style to Panzer General 2. It is considered by some to be the eastern Front expansion for Panzer General 3D, which only deals with the western front. Panzer General 3D Assault is the third sequel to Panzer General. It shares the same engine as Panzer General 3D Assault, although the graphics are improved. Panzer General III: Scorched Earth is set in World War II on the Eastern Front. Panzer General III: Scorched Earth (2000) is a turn-based strategy computer game by Mattel based on the game Panzer General 3D Assault by Strategic Simulations, Inc., which was owned by Mattel.
